FLS-R Valves
Product Information
The FLS-R gate valve
The FLS-R gate valve is a full-bore valve that meets API 6A and NACE MR-0175 requirements. It is available in standard double flange, wire-loaded outlet, and special block configurations. The following are the standard features of the FLS-R gate valve:
1.1
The FLS-R gate valve has been tested according to the performance requirements of API SPACE 6A and complies with Appendix F, performance class pr2.
1.2
The ball screw mechanism and lower valve stem are integrated into the FLS-R gate valve to minimize the actuation torque.
1.3
The seal between the valve body and seat, and between the seat and the valve plate, of a gate valve is a metal-to-metal seal.
1.4
This simplified gate and seat assembly has a minimal number of parts. The integral valve seat and gate ensure…
Reliable sealing simplifies field use. The gate and seat assembly seals in both directions, allowing for bidirectional sealing and extending service life.
1.5
In addition to the metal-to-metal seal, the two spring-loaded non-elastomeric lip seals between the valve seat and body provide maximum protection, preventing contaminants such as particles from entering the valve cavity, extending the service life of the valve and seat, preventing damage to the body-to-seat sealing surface, and improving the valve’s low-pressure sealing performance.
1.6
Valve stem packing is a pressure-driven seal capable of withstanding harsh temperatures and fluids. It is made of a non-elastic material, providing a low coefficient of friction.
1.7
The lower valve stem can be used to indicate the position of the gate.
1.8
Both the upper and lower valve stems have a back seal design, allowing the valve stem packing to be replaced if necessary when the valve is under pressure.
1.9
For safety reasons, the FLS-R gate valve is equipped with grease injection valves on the downstream side of the upper valve stem and at the rear seat shoulder of the lower valve stem. These valves can be used to inject grease into the valve cavity and assist in replacing the valve stem packing after backsealing.
1.10
The sealing ring between the valve body and the valve cover is a pressure-assisted sealing type BX sealing ring.
